CloudOps Engineer

Our client builds a complex software product used by technologically advanced manufacturers to optimize cost of goods delivered through global supply chains.   We’re looking for a skilled and personable operations engineer to join a high performing team.

As part of our growing Cloud Operations team you will help manage and maintain our customers’Cloud applications. Ideal candidates should have experience with deploying and supporting globally distributed Cloud applications at scale on the AWS platform. They should also know the ins and outs of data protection, security and monitoring to provide our customers with best in-class Cloud applications.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage production resources using Terraform on the AWS platform
• Provisioning and deployment of containers in AWS ECS
• Configure customer environments on Appstream 2.0
• Implement best practices for security and high availability
• Ensure Datadog and Sumo Logic monitoring are in place
• Backup, data management and migration of customers’ data
• Perform ad-hoc AWS management via CLI and Console as needed
• Provide on-call support for our Ops genie alerting

Requirements:

• Significant experience deploying and supporting production environments at scale on a Cloud platform, ideally AWS
• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in Infrastructure as Code and/or Configuration Management tools, ideally Terraform and/or Ansible
• Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration
• Solid understanding of security and high availability best practices as they pertain to the Cloud
• Proficient with both Linux and Windows server administration including Bash and PowerShell, Python knowledge also advantageous
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, Master’s preferred
